Tennis & Skiing

Sports has been an important part of my life.

I started tennis as my dad was a tennis lover, and he gave me the opportunity to try out the sport when I was 9. I love the feeling of hitting the balls at first.

Now I am 17. Over the past eight years, I’ve gone through failure, loneliness, and breakdowns, as well as joy, warmth, and excitement. I’ve learned that only after experiencing pain can we truly feel the sweetness of achievement and the warmth of happiness.

The reason I love tennis:

1) I made lots of friends, players and coaches, and supported each other in our tennis journeys.

2) From my perspective, tennis is a mentality game: on court, we constantly adjust our strategies according to the opponent’s position and body language; off court, we reflect and accept that either winning or losing is part of the experience. I get better at emotional regulation and become a more resilient and flexible young lady because of tennis.

In winter, my family sometimes go skiing!

Skiing feels completely different from tennis. Instead of relying solely on my own strength, I move with the rhythm of nature—guided by gravity, curves, and the flow of snow. I love the feeling of rushing forward through the woods and over small jumps, surrounded only by the serene snow and whispering trees.
