Spirituality, Philosophy

I love to read and think.

Spiritual, but not religious

I believe that spirituality is a power: while thinking beyond the reality and the self, creativity and faith can be sparked.

Just like how figure skaters can enter the zone to perform the program on ice despite physical illnesses or aches due to the faith, the power can be used in daily life to “transform” reality through determination.

Books I love to read:

  • <Zhuangzi> - A classic work illustrating Taoist philosophy. I especially love Chapter Seventeen, which taught me to let go of comparisons with others.

  • Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy - A go-to resource that allows me to explore topics I’m curious about in depth.

  • 84,000 Questions: contains Buddhist and wise thoughts by Khyentse Norbu

  • Philosophy: History and Readings 7th Edition (Samuel Enoch Stumpf, James Fieser)

  • The World’s Religions 2nd Edition (Huston Smith)

  • <Thirty-Six Stratagems> - A book I’ve recently become interested in, exploring strategies and tactics in both war and life.
